I was born in Pavia, a town in the northern of Italy and I work as a scientist in the medicinal chemistry area.
After years of land photography, in 2007 I discovered the underwater world and in 2008 I got my first scuba certification. I was fascinated by all the creatures and colors beneath the sea and the underwater photography was a natural step following my love for photography.
Now, I’m a Divemaster and an enthusiast underwater photographer. I like to dive capturing pictures of underwater life.
Several feet underwater, in dim light, quite an unnatural enviroment for human being, taking pictures is a very challenging activity but it can give great satisfactions.
My photos have been exhibited both in Italy (Venice, Naples, Empoli, Ortona, Milan, Rome) and abroad (Zagreb, Banja Luka, Zingst, San Francisco, Beijing, Shanghai, Miami) and printed in various magazines (Il Subacqueo, SUB, National Geographic Italia, EZDive, Underwater Macro Photographer, Tauchen)
